We have a 39 place Nursery and children who have their name on the school’s waiting list are admitted the term after their third birthday. Please click here for a Nursery application form and return to the school office. Each child is entitled to 15 hours provision within our setting. Nursery times are:
Our Nursery works a split week with children either attending all day Monday, Tuesday and finishing on Wednesday at end of morning session or Wednesday afternoon then all day Thursday and Friday. The Nursery children either bring a packed lunch or have a school lunch during their full days. Parents need to apply for a Reception class space via Stockton Local Authority. Please be aware that admission into Nursery does not guarantee a Reception place.
Reception-Year 6:
We have two classes for all pupils in Reception to Year 5 and one class in Year 6.
Teaching Assistants are employed to work with pupils in all age ranges as well as supporting pupils with SEND and those in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant.
For pupils in Reception to Year 6, doors open each morning from 8.45 a.m. and pupils are welcome to come in and start their morning tasks. School begins at 8.55 a.m. and all pupils are expected to be ready to learn at this time. The register will be closed at 9.05 a.m. and any pupils attending after this time will be recorded as late. The children participate in daily acts of Collective Worship.

We have five staff training days each year where school is closed for pupils. Please see our Term Dates page for further details.
We have an open door policy and welcome parents speaking to staff on a regular basis. Although there may only be one member of staff at the door each morning and you may not see your child’s class teacher, please speak to the member of staff available who will pass on any messages and your child’s teacher will contact you as soon as possible.
Emergency Closure:
On very rare occasions, it may be necessary to close the school at short notice and not as part of a listed school break. The decision to close the school under such circumstances would involve discussion with governors, relevant members of the Local Authority or emergency services. We will contact parents through text messaging, email, school website, social media and the Stockton Council website. Please therefore ensure that your emergency contact numbers and email addresses are always up to date.
